Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Palo Alto Networks Firewall Engineer to join our team in Novi, MI. This role requires expertise in network security, firewall configuration, and troubleshooting within a Palo Alto Networks environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with firewall policies, VPN configurations, and security best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and maintain Palo Alto firewalls to ensure network security and performance.
- Implement and manage firewall rules, VPNs, and security policies.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network security issues, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with IT teams to optimize network security architecture.
- Perform regular security audits and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Document configurations, procedures, and security policies.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience working with Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols, VPNs, and IDS/IPS.
- Experience with Panorama for centralized firewall management.
- Familiarity with routing, switching, and network troubleshooting.
- Palo Alto Networks certifications (PCNSA, PCNSE) preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Work Environment:
Hybrid role with 3 days onsite per week in Novi, MI.
