Position Summary
We are seeking a Palantir Foundry Data Engineer to build and operate data integration pipelines, Ontology-driven data models, and operational applications on the Palantir Foundry platform. The role involves connecting enterprise source systems into Foundry, designing clean and governed datasets, building Workshop applications for business users, and collaborating with stakeholders to turn data into decision-ready workflows.
DevOps: Git-based Code Repositories, branching, CI checks, release management
Responsibilities
Build and maintain data integration pipelines from enterprise source systems into Foundry using Pipeline Builder and Code Repositories (PySpark/SQL)
Design and evolve the Foundry Ontology — object types, properties, links, and actions — to model core business entities and workflows
Develop Workshop applications and operational dashboards that put governed data in the hands of business users
Implement data quality expectations, health checks, and monitoring to keep datasets reliable and trustworthy
Leverage AIP to build AI-assisted workflows and automation where appropriate
Partner with business stakeholders, analysts, and platform administrators on requirements, permissions, and release management
Required Experience
5+ years of data engineering experience, including 1+ years of hands-on Palantir Foundry delivery in production
Strong PySpark/Python and SQL skills with experience building incremental, production-grade pipelines
Experience designing Foundry Ontology models and building Workshop applications used by real business users
Solid understanding of data governance: permissions, lineage, data quality frameworks, and release practices
Nice to have: Palantir certifications (Foundry Data Engineer / AIP), TypeScript Functions, and experience in healthcare, supply chain, or financial services domains
