Description

Palantir Foundry Data AnalystWe need an experienced Palantir Foundry Data Analyst at the National Guard Bureau (NGB). The NGB is the link between the Army and Air National Guard and the Department of War (DoW). You will support operations on the Minuteman project team, which manages the NGB's enterprise data environment within the DoW's central analytics platform, and solves real-world problems through app development, geospatial analysis, and data summarization directly enabling smarter, faster decision-making for end users. In this role, you will build within Palantir Foundry applications including Workshop, Ontology Manager, and Gaia to streamline workflows, create dynamic apps, map geospatial data, and summarize insights, translating complex requirements into efficient workflows and easy-to-use applications while working with mission stakeholders and end users to refine and deliver impactful products. This is a full-time opportunity. We can offer a competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefits package. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Build and deliver applications within Palantir Foundry using Workshop, Ontology Manager, and Gaia
  • Analyze, explore, clean, and visualize complex mission datasets to produce actionable insights
  • Develop maps and geospatial analytics within Palantir Foundry to support operational analysis
  • Apply data summarization tools, including AI-powered (AIP) capabilities, to surface insights quickly
  • Translate complex mission requirements into efficient workflows and easy-to-use Foundry applications
  • Work collaboratively with mission stakeholders and end users to refine and deliver impactful applications and insights
  • Apply data storytelling, visualization, and user experience (UX) design principles so findings are clear and usable
  • Research, design, and develop software and specialized utility programs in support of mission requirements
  • Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis
  • Update and enhance existing software capabilities
  • Develop specifications and performance requirements, coordinating with engineering counterparts to integrate hardware and software systems as required
  • Maintain databases within the application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team
  • Streamline workflows and support DoW operations on the Minuteman project team to enable faster, better-informed decisions
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Three (3) to ten (10) years of directly related experience
  • 3+ years of experience with data analysis, exploration, visualization, or cleaning
  • 3+ years of experience building within Palantir Foundry applications, including Workshop, Ontology Manager, and Gaia
  • Experience with data summarization tools, including AI-powered (AIP) tools
  • Experience building maps and geospatial analytics within Palantir Foundry
  • Experience with data storytelling, visualization, and user experience (UX) design
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into efficient workflows or easy-to-use applications in Foundry
  • Ability to work collaboratively with mission stakeholders and end users to refine and deliver impactful applications and insights
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with the Department of War (DoW) mission and associated datasets
  • Experience with Advana, Databricks, Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau in a DoD environment
  • Prior experience supporting OUSD Personnel & Readiness (P&R) or National Guard Bureau (NGB) missions
EDUCATION
  • B.A./B.S. or M.A./M.S. in Data Analytics, Information Systems, or Business Intelligence
LOCATION
  • National Capital Region. One day onsite in Arlington, VA – Preferred
  • Fully remote - Acceptable
CLEARANCE
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship is required since this role supports the U.S. Federal government
CLIENT
  • OUSD Personnel & Readiness (P&R), Minuteman project team
WORK HOURS
  • 40 hours per week. 8 hours per day
EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION
  • Employment Classification Eligibility — W2
COMPENSATION
  • Salary range: $155,000 - $165,000
