Location: Sidney, OH Facility (LeRoi - 211 E Russell Rd. Sidney, OH 45365) 
Shift: 1st Shift (Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm)
Pay: Starting rate at $23.00 -$25.00 per hour

Job Overview

Ingersoll Rand is seeking an Industrial Painter to prepare, prime, and paint assembled units and subassemblies according to established specifications. This position requires attention to detail, knowledge of painting equipment, and the ability to inspect completed work for quality and appearance.
 

Responsibilities

  • Clean and wash assembled units and subassemblies in preparation for painting.
  • Mask designated areas before applying paint.
  • Mix paint to the proper consistency.
  • Apply primer and paint to air ends and subassemblies using spray guns or brushes.
  • Perform lettering and apply nameplates or stencils when required.
  • Follow specifications outlined in prints, routings, bills of materials, and documented procedures.
  • Inspect work in progress using prints, routings, and established workmanship standards.
  • Perform visual inspections to verify the proper cosmetic appearance.
  • Accept or reject work based on applicable quality standards.
  • Create defect reports or notify the area manager when work does not meet requirements.
  • Follow procedures for handling, storing, packaging, preserving, and delivering products.
  • Notify the area manager of needed changes or additions to procedures and work instructions.
  • Maintain painting equipment in proper working condition and keep the work area clean.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to interpret and follow specification sheets.
  • Working knowledge of painting equipment, including proper adjustment, operation, and cleaning.
  • Ability to mix paint to the appropriate consistency.
  • Ability to safely handle parts of considerable weight and awkward dimensions.
  • Previous industrial or manufacturing painting experience is preferred.
