A leading designer and manufacturer of thermal processing equipment for a wide range of industries is currently seeking a skilled Painter to join their manufacturing team.
This role plays a vital part in both the appearance and durability of the final products. The Painter is responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint and other protective coatings to industrial equipment, ensuring all specifications and quality standards are met. Working closely with fabrication and assembly teams, the Painter will help maintain the company"s reputation for excellence in product finish and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and applying primers.
- Select and mix appropriate paints and finishes per project specifications.
- Apply coatings using spray guns, brushes, or rollers to ensure a consistent and professional finish.
- Operate and maintain paint-related tools and equipment (e.g., spray systems, ventilation systems, and protective gear).
- Inspect completed work to ensure proper coverage, thickness, and curing.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company and OSHA standards.
- Assist in basic fabrication support such as minor sanding, patching, or masking of parts pre/post painting.
Key Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years of painting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Ability to operate spray guns and related painting equipment.
- Familiarity with surface preparation, masking, and proper application techniques.
- Comfortable working with various paint types, coatings, and finishes.
- Basic understanding of material handling and safety procedures in an industrial setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience with MIG welding and fiberglass preparation is a plus.
- Familiarity with carpentry or drywall work is beneficial.
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and follow instructions precisely.
- Physical capability to stand, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
- Team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality.
