    Aero Space Paint Prep Tech Prepare Aircraft Components for a Growing Aerospace Team! 3rd Shift
    Are you someone who takes pride in detailed, hands-on work? We're looking for a Painter Prep Technician I to help prepare aviation components for painting and finishing. This is a great opportunity for individuals with manufacturing, automotive, aviation, or industrial painting experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment.
    What You'll Do
    As a Painter Prep Technician I, you will play a critical role in preparing aircraft parts for painting and finishing by:
    • Cleaning, sanding, masking, and preparing aircraft components for paint application
    • Following work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures
    • Using tools and equipment such as sanders, paint sprayers, and related shop equipment
    • Handling sealants, paint strippers, and corrosion-prevention materials safely and effectively
    • Completing required paperwork and documentation accurately
    • Tracking labor and materials using the company ERP system
    • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area
    • Inspecting work to ensure it meets customer and quality requirements
    • Working independently and as part of a team to meet production goals
    • Performing other duties as assigned
    What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing, painting, automotive body work, aviation, or a related field
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
    • Good mechanical aptitude and hand skills
    • Ability to read and follow technical instructions and work procedures
    • Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
    • Willingness to work overtime and flexible schedules when needed
    Preferred Qualifications
    • 2+ years of paint preparation or related experience
    • Experience in aerospace, aviation, automotive paint, or industrial finishing environments
    • Familiarity with paint mixing systems and paint-thinning processes
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
    Physical Requirements
    • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and move throughout the shift
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
    • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
    • Ability to work around paints, solvents, and industrial chemicals in a manufacturing environment
