    Full-Time Apartment Painter & Make-Ready Technician

    Position Summary

    We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Full-Time Apartment Painter & Make-Ready Technician to prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents. This role is responsible for painting interiors, completing make-ready tasks, and ensuring apartments meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and quality before move-in. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, works efficiently, and contributes to maintaining a high-quality living environment for residents.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents by completing all assigned make-ready tasks.
    • Paint apartment interiors, including walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and touch-up work.
    • Patch drywall, repair minor wall damage, and prepare surfaces for painting.
    • Replace or repair blinds, light fixtures, door hardware, and other minor apartment components.
    • Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs as needed.
    • Install or replace smoke detectors, air filters, and other routine maintenance items.
    • Deep clean work areas and remove debris after completing each apartment.
    • Inspect completed apartments to ensure they meet company quality standards.
    • Maintain inventory of paint, supplies, and make-ready materials.
    • Properly use and maintain company tools and equipment.
    • Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company safety procedures.
    • Assist the maintenance team with general property upkeep and preventive maintenance as needed.
    • Respond to additional maintenance requests assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager.

    Qualifications

    • Previous apartment maintenance, painting, construction, or make-ready experience preferred.
    • Strong painting skills with attention to detail and quality workmanship.
    • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, and carpentry repairs.
    • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Reliable attendance and positive attitude.
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
    • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening 

    Physical Requirements

    • Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
    • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and reach overhead for extended periods.
    • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
    • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and painting equipment.
