Main Mission:
Maintain the paint production process (robots, booths, water treatment processes) in an automotive manufacturing facility and ensure basic maintenance is provided across the paint production area. Analyze and correct deviations in such way that equipment OEE is improved. Maintain standard production/quality/time and cost standards.
Responsibilities:
Deploys paint operation standards across paint application equipment, robots, paint delivery systems, and related electrical systems during the production shift
Starts and stops the paint line according to production plan and safety rules
Controls paint operation and equipment (including robots)
Checks quality and conformity of the application process according to quality requirements and procedures
Applies level 1 maintenance procedures for robots and all paint equipment (including guns, jigs, end-of-arm-tooling, wiring, hoses, connections, etc.)
Maintains paint applicators and minimizes stops of the paint line
In case of defects, contributes to root cause analysis and investigation, performs action plan set up and deploys corrective actions within the shift
Contributes to continuous improvement workshops; proposes measures to improve product and process quality
Follows up and continuously optimizes paint consumption (primer, basecoat, clear coat, hardeners, solvents, rinsing solvents, etc.)
Requirements:
Maintenance, Mechatronics, or Industrial Troubleshooting coursework completed with Associates degree or Certification
Specialty expertise in several of the following fields of expertise: mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, paint systems, and/or robotics
Understanding of paint application processes and troubleshooting of paint delivery and application equipment
Spoken and written English ability helpful
Ability to deploy structured problem- solving process
Team player, flexible, rigorous regarding respect of standard and rules, HSE instructions, good communication and oral capabilities
