    THE ROLE 

    We're hiring a Paint Line Technician – Level 1 at our Utah Facility. You'll prepare and clean steel pipe and other manufactured components for coating — through blasting, sanding, grinding, and masking — as part of our Paint Line team. 

    WHAT YOU'LL DO 

    • Set up and prepare the blasting/paint area, including arranging pipes, setting up scaffolding or supports, and securing the area for safe operation 

    • Clean, degrease, and prepare metal and manufactured components for coating 

    • Remove contaminants such as oil, rust, scale, or debris using approved cleaning methods 

    • Perform sanding, grinding, or blasting to prepare surfaces per work instructions 

    • Mask and protect surfaces not intended to be coated, such as threaded ends or other areas requiring special protection 

    • Clean and perform basic maintenance on blasting equipment 

    • Ensure paint materials and chemicals are stored and handled per safety and environmental requirements 

    • Maintain accurate production records and material usage logs 

    • Follow all safety, quality, and 5S standards; escalate safety, quality, or process concerns immediately 

    • Perform other duties as assigned 

    WHAT YOU NEED 

    • High school diploma or equivalent 

    • Good verbal and written communication skills 

    • Computer literacy 

    • Good problem-solving skills 

    • Ability to work independently, effectively, and stay self-motivated 

    • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality 

    • Physical ability to lift heavy material and stand for extended periods 

    NICE TO HAVE 

    • 1–3 years of painting experience 

    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) 

    COMPENSATION  

    The hourly pay range for this position is $19-21 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location. This role may also be eligible for shift differentials, overtime pay, and the full benefits package described above
