FACT Professional Inc. is a full-service tax and accounting firm in Canoga Park looking for accounting students who want to see how a CPA firm actually works, up close. This is a paid summer internship built for students on the accounting and CPA track who want real, varied exposure to the profession.
Here you will not be one of dozens of interns parked on a single repetitive task. Your first two weeks are a guided rotation across the firm, from accounting and tax through payroll and the operational side of the practice, so you understand how the pieces of a CPA firm fit together. From there we place you where your interest and our summer work line up, with a working accountant as your mentor, doing the kind of entry-level client work a first-year associate would do.
You will also follow the whole arc of a client engagement, from the early accounting work through review to the final product that goes back to the client. That includes pitching in on the operational work that keeps engagements moving.
We hire from our internship program. Several of our team members started as interns. If you are strong and we are a fit, we want to know you before you graduate.
What you'll gain
• Exposure to the full arc of a client engagement, not just one isolated task
• Hands-on experience across tax, accounting, and payroll
• A dedicated mentor and direct access to the firm's accountants and partners
• A clear picture of the CPA path from people actually on it
• Meaningful, resume-worthy experience at a growing firm
Who we're looking for
• Currently enrolled accounting majors, ideally on the CPA track
• Rising seniors preferred (entering their final year in fall 2027); rising juniors welcome to apply
• Genuine interest in public accounting as a career
Helpful skills and background
• Comfortable with Excel (formulas, sorting, basic spreadsheets)
• Familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks is a plus, not required
• Solid written and verbal communication
• Organized, accurate, and careful with details
• Able to juggle a few tasks and ask questions when something is unclear

Duration and schedule: 8 weeks over summer 2027 (06/14/2027 - 08/06/2027), part-time, approximately 4 hours per day (about 20 hours per week).
