Responsible for keeping the grounds and backside barn/stall area maintained with a clean, neat, and orderly appearance.

• Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions.

• Ability to use all necessary tools and equipment to perform maintenance functions.

• Answer all calls promptly and maintain politeness; pay attention to the needs of employees and guests at all times.

• Knowledge of OSHA required standards and safety requirements.

• Knowledge of personal protective equipment.

• Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.

• Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude.

• Complete knowledge of all facilities and entertainment available to guest.

• Work area consists of all facilities on property.

• Able to work around horses and confined areas.

• Exposed to hot and cold temperatures.

• Varied weather conditions, fumes, and chemicals used in maintenance.

• High School Graduate

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Sitting 5%

• Standing 35%

• Lifting - up to 40 lbs. 10%

• Bending 25% (from waist)

• Walking 25%

• Must be able to stand/walk/sit for extended periods. Must be at least 18 years old. Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing. Must be able to pass a background investigation.

• Blowing out stalls and following up with washing down the stalls with a hose.

• Hanging silks in preparation of evening races.

• Ensuring all stalls are neat and orderly at end of shift.

• Understand and practice Family Style Service at all times with all guest and team members.

• All other duties as assigned.
