What You'll Do
- Provide postoperative care to pediatric and adult patients recovering from surgery
- Support patients across all major surgical services in a high-volume environment
- Float to pediatric PACU as needed, caring for patients of all ages
- Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts, bladder scanners, and Accuvein
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams supporting perioperative patient care
- Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in Epic EMR
- Respond promptly to emergent patient needs and emergency situations
What You Need
- Valid ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
- 1+ year of PACU or Pre/Post Op nursing experience (Critical Care Post Op preferred)
- Ability to adapt to floating between adult and pediatric PACU environments
- Strong clinical and interpersonal skills
- Comfort working in fast-paced surgical/trauma settings

This assignment is at a major hospital supporting a busy surgical and procedural unit that handles over 34 operating rooms across two floors. The department provides pre-op, post-op, and recovery services for patients of all ages, with a high volume of pediatric cases in a specialized pediatric GI/lithotripsy and shared recovery spaces.
