    Description

    A PACU Manager opportunity is available at a 371-bed acute care hospital in Central Austin, TX. This is a full-time, day-shift leadership role overseeing a team of 18.5 FTEs in a busy post-anesthesia care unit.

    The role. Reporting into hospital leadership, the PACU Manager serves as a working manager responsible for the day-to-day operations of the unit. The manager oversees staffing assignments and scheduling to maintain effective department coverage and productivity targets, and conducts regular review and revision of departmental policies, procedures, standing orders, and protocols. This leader reviews and approves employee performance appraisals, establishes individual goals for staff, and participates in budget and inventory control. The role also includes active involvement in process improvement initiatives and serves as a change agent in supporting and modeling management decisions.

    What we're looking for.

    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
    • Registered Nurse license required
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required
    • 2+ years of experience in OR or day surgery required
    • Previous management experience required

    Schedule. Full-time, days, no weekends.

    Compensation. $130,000 - $130,000 per year plus $15,000 sign-on bonus
