Position DescriptionTitle: PackerDepartment: OperationsImmediate Supervisor: Plant Supervisory StaffStatus: HourlyPosition Purpose: Packs boxes and prepares product for shipment
Principle Accountabilities
Removes finished products from the machine, places product labels, packs item in bags and cartons, and places finished product in proper location as per specifications.Performs advanced quality checks, and effectively communicates with operator and supervisor to ensure that finished products are made to required quality specifications.Aids in the proper and effective operation of the machinery.Willing to assist in other areas of the plant, including to cover lunches and breaks as required.Performs all work in a safety first mentality and with utilization of IPS lean manufacturing skills.Related tasks as requested by supervisor
Essential Skills and Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.Intermediate math skills and English written communication skills necessary.Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time requiredAbility to work in space limited work area on continuous basis.Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis
