    Mays Chemical, a Ravago company, is seeking a Packaging Technician to work in the Greenwood facility. The selected candidate will report to the Production Manager.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Practice the principals of food safety, quality, and continuous improvement under the GFSI guidelines and follow established cGMP practicesExecute pre/post-production sampling plans as required by established proceduresPerform repackaging/blending operationsEnsure equipment is set-up and properly running in order to execute production plansInspect containers prior to packaging to ensure they meet established specifications, cleanliness, and conditionsPerform the necessary line clearances as required by proceduresAccurately complete batch record files.     Education/Experience:

    High school diploma or equivalent (GED, HSE) requiredPrevious experience working in warehouse and/or production environment requiredPrevious experience handling chemical/hazardous materials and operating powered industrial. equipment (forklift, scissor lift, etc.) preferred

    Knowledge and Skills:

    Able to operate forklifts, slip sheet loaders, pallet inverters and drum snatchersAble to lift 50 lbs. independently, and 100 lbs. with assistanceAble to work in both Shipping/Receiving and Production Rooms and perform general maintenance to keep work areas clean, organized, and efficientAble to follow instructions and work both collaboratively and independentlyStrong attention to detail, accuracy and efficiency; maintaining a fast workflow while minimizing errorsFollow safety and quality control procedures to ensure product integrityComfortable with standing, walking, and repetitive tasks throughout the shiftReliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team-oriented setting
