About the OpportunityDoherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Packaging Technicians for a food production company in Faribault, Minnesota. What You'll Do as a Packaging Technician:- Operate packaging equipment including palletizers, depalletizers, labelers, tray formers, stretch wrappers, pallet labelers, and conveyors
- Perform safety and quality checks, line observations, quality audits, and required production documentation
- Identify and correct equipment issues to help maximize production efficiency and communicate maintenance needs
- Complete basic preventative maintenance and corrective work orders as assigned
- Clean and sanitize machines and work areas according to GMP, SQF, food safety, and quality standards
- Complete production changeovers and communicate equipment, product, and quality information during shift transitions
- Rotate between packaging positions and cross-train on equipment throughout the Business Unit
What You Need to Bring to the Packaging Technician Role:- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 65 pounds consistently and up to 100 pounds occasionally with assistance
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, and climb stairs throughout the workday
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, safety procedures, production schedules, and quality documentation in English
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, weights, and measurements
- Ability to accurately complete production records, logs, and other required documentation
- Ability to work overtime and weekends when required
- Willingness to cross-train, work as part of a team, and follow food safety, quality, GMP, SQF, and company procedures
