Packaging Specialist - 2nd and 3rd Shift
Pay Range: 12.36 - 17.67/hourly
Join our team in Leavenworth, a vibrant community known for its scenic beauty and welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for dedicated individuals to contribute to our dynamic production center.
The Packaging Specialist position involves performing a variety of hand-oriented duties across multiple departments. This role requires flexibility and adaptability to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hand-oriented duties such as unloading products (gift wrap, tissue, gift bags, etc.) from a conveyor or table and placing them on a skid, in stock boxes, or on fixtures or cartons.
- Assist in production by tending the press, feeding, and boxing completed products.
- Set up and operate label machines to produce various printed labels.
- Assist with make-ready processes, check for production quality, and perform preventive maintenance.
- Report production-related information and maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area.
- Assemble and pack various display units and follow store floor plans and merchandising instructions.
- Participate in performance dialogues and team problem-solving activities to achieve department goals efficiently.
In This Position You Will:
- Assist with all aspects of different assignments, focusing on cross-training between departments.
- Help maintain specified production standards by placing products onto flat skids or in carton boxes.
- Execute Quality System tasks including preflight, product accuracy checks, and salvage/spoilage removal.
- Utilize good safety practices at all times.
Basic Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Capable of constantly standing, walking, twisting, bending, and reaching above shoulder level.
- Able to use repetitive hand/wrist motion and perform fine motor skills.
- Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 60 pounds occasionally.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Previous experience in warehouse, production, or packaging roles.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Third shift: Sunday - Thursday, 11:30pm - 8:00am.
Second shift: Monday - Friday, 3:30pm-12am
