About the Opportunity
We are hiring a Packaging Specialist to join a well-established company in the consumer products and manufacturing industry, known for producing a wide range of paper-based and seasonal products distributed to customers across the country.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain manufacturing experience, strengthen their warehouse skills, and get their foot in the door with a well-established company.
You don't need years of experience! Just 3 months of warehouse, production, packing, or similar experience is enough to be considered.
The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable working on their feet, pays attention to detail, and is willing to learn different tasks across multiple production departments.
Responsibilities
- Unload products from conveyors, tables, and other production areas.
- Place products on skids, in boxes, cartons, or designated fixtures.
- Feed and pack products into cartons and wholesale units.
- Stack cartons onto pallets while maintaining production standards.
- Assist production operators with daily manufacturing activities.
- Operate manual equipment and labeling machines as needed.
- Assist with machine make-ready and production setup.
- Inspect products for quality, accuracy, and defects.
- Follow quality procedures and remove damaged or defective products.
- Assemble and pack various display units.
- Follow merchandising instructions and store floor plans when required.
- Complete production-related paperwork and report production information.
- Clean and maintain equipment and the work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
- Work across different departments and learn multiple assignments based on business needs.
- Participate in team problem-solving and activities focused on improving production.
Requirements
- Able to read, write, and understand English.
- At least 3 months of warehouse, production, packaging, packing, assembly, or similar experience is preferred.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
- Able to stand and walk throughout the workday.
- Able to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements.
- Able to bend, twist, reach above shoulder level, grasp, pull, lift, and carry.
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs. frequently and 60 lbs. occasionally.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable, flexible, and willing to learn different tasks.
- Previous manufacturing, packaging, machine operation, or quality inspection experience is a plus.
