Industrial Processing & Packaging: Production Worker / Packaging Operator Wanted!

DUAL-OPERATION PACKAGING WITH 3 TO 4 DAYS OFF PER WEEK! In this active plant role, you will cross-train to run two core functions: automated bagging lines and heavy compression balers. You will monitor product flows, adjust machine timing and weight settings, read scales, assist shift leads with pellet mill startup/shutdown, wrap finished pallets, and operate forklifts. If you bring mechanical troubleshooting aptitude, strong hand-eye coordination, and physical stamina, let's get you on the floor!

Description for Production Worker / Packaging Operator:

  • Operate and monitor automated packaging equipment across both critical operations: high-speed bagging and industrial baler machinery.
  • Adjust weight settings, feed rates, and machine cycle timing on balers and baggers to resolve simple mechanical and packaging issues.
  • Assist Shift Leads with starting, monitoring, and shutting down commercial pellet mills and processing lines.
  • Read, interpret, and calibrate scales to ensure bagged and baled finished products meet exact weight tolerances.
  • Inspect raw material consistency and immediately report moisture variations or feed jams to the Shift Lead.
  • Stack, wrap, strap, and stage finished goods on pallets; transport materials using sit-down forklifts (in-house certification provided).
  • Maintain spotless, debris-free workstations and adhere to plant 5S housekeeping standards.
  • Strictly follow all facility safety protocols, emergency stop procedures, and PPE guidelines.

  • Pay Rate: $18.00 – $20.00 / hour (DOE) + Built-in Weekly Overtime Pay!
  • Shift Options (12-Hour Schedules with Built-in OT):
    • Day Shift: Sunday – Wednesday | 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM (w/ OT)
    • Night Shift: Wednesday – Saturday | 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM (w/ OT)
  • Work-Life Balance: Work consistent 12-hour blocks and enjoy 3 to 4 days off every single week!
  • Training: Comprehensive plant training provided, including internal company forklift certification.
  • Position Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire career pathway.

Requirements for Production Worker / Packaging Operator:

  • Experience: Prior production line, machine operation, or packaging experience preferred; sit-down forklift experience is a strong plus.
  • Coordination & Stamina: Excellent eye, hand, and foot coordination; ability to stand for at least 7 hours per shift and lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
  • Technical & Math Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot machine timing/weights; ability to read scales and perform basic math calculations.
  • Willingness and ability to complete and pass company-provided forklift certification.
  • Reliable attendance, on-time shift arrivals, and strong team-communication habits.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen (some background restrictions may apply).
