What you’ll do
- Tackle issues across plant systems—find root causes and fix them fast
- Operate, troubleshoot, and repair automated packaging machinery
- Apply pump theory to diagnose and repair pumps
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair pneumatic systems
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic systems
- Interpret electrical schematics to guide repairs
- Safely work on both low- and high-voltage circuits
- Diagnose electric motors, motor controls, and device controls
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical control and power circuits
- Service electrically controlled assets, including PLC-controlled and solid-state equipment
- Perform gas and arc welding and soldering
- Support utilities: steam, hot water, compressed air, and refrigeration (fundamentals)
- Apply basic plumbing and carpentry skills
- Source and order parts using manufacturers’ manuals and prints
- Communicate and follow instructions clearly—oral and written
What you bring
- 3+ years of maintenance experience across the areas above
- High school diploma or GED; or equivalent mix of experience and training
- Ability to pass the Standard Timing Model mechanical test with 60% or better
- Massachusetts only: Special to Operate Engineering License (Steam Plant); training available if not yet licensed
