Position Description:
The Packaging Operator is responsible for all basic level shipping tasks in the shipping department. They are responsible for processing, packaging and/or palletizing shipments to customers and vendors.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: v Provide support to the packaging areas by processing skid orders, full-length orders, and small package orders. v Package small parts boxes v Palletize or band panels and operate packaging equipment in all areas of shipping. v All other assignments as needed. |
Required Qualifications:
v High School Diploma or GED. v Embodies the 80/20 attitude in all aspects of their work. v Prior experience with packing products in a fast-paced environment (retail, service industry, etc.). v Can read, write and speak English. v Able to stand, twist, bend, stoop, kneel and lift 40 lbs. on a continuous basis for a 10 or 12-hour workday. Preferred Qualifications: v 1 or more years of experience packing and preparing products for shipment in a production/manufacturing environment or similar experience packing and preparing products in a similar work environment (retail, service industry, etc.) |
