Job Summary: We're seeking a Packaging Data Engineer to manage all global packaging data operations. You'll oversee pack standard changes for rebranding projects, lead legacy system migrations, and integrate environmental packaging data into corporate systems. This role requires someone who can manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining data accuracy across geographically dispersed sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage global pack standards for rebranding initiatives and new product introductions (NPI)
- Lead migration from legacy packaging data systems to new Thermo Fisher platforms
- Coordinate pack standard rollouts across multiple global manufacturing sites
- Facilitate data system changes tied to packaging and regulatory initiatives
- Partner with corporate regulatory teams on environmental packaging data integration
- Develop playbooks for large-scale environmental packaging projects (e.g., PPWR compliance)
- Manage multiple concurrent projects with minimal initial information
Must-Have Skills:
- Bachelor's degree, expert-level data management and Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Ability to manage 3+ complex projects concurrently
- Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration
- Self-directed problem-solving with limited guidance
Industry Experience:
- Background in packaging terminology, science, or engineering preferred
- Prior experience managing packaging data systems or databases
- Familiarity with legacy system migrations or data integration projects
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks (environmental, packaging)
- Experience with global rebranding or product launch processes
