The Package Handler is responsible for unloading inbound packages from floor-loaded trailers, followed by sorting and unboxing product for quality control purposes. Ability to perform 8 or more hours of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying products in any combination at any given time.
Description: The Package Handler is responsible for unloading inbound packages from floor-loaded trailers, followed by sorting and unboxing product for quality control purposes.
Responsibilities:
Offload packages from parcel trailers.
Sort, un-box, and label products.
Quality Control by accurately inspecting, counting, and receiving products using RF scanner or AS400 menu options.
Use a pallet jack to transport pallets of materials or products.
Adhere to preferred methods and safety guidelines.
Rotate through various departmental tasks, including housekeeping.
Required Qualification:
Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent.
Strong organizational, counting, and multitasking skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
Ability to perform 8 or more hours of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying products in any combination at any given time.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (team-lift for anything above 50 lbs).
Comfortable working in a warehouse environment, which includes changes in temperature as the weather fluctuates, and noise from conveyors and forklifts.
