Own strategic initiatives from concept to commercialization.About Our ClientOur client is a fast-growing beauty and personal care company within the Los Angeles area.Job DescriptionThe key responsibilities for the Package Development and Sourcing Manager are:Strategic SourcingLead sourcing activities for packaging materials and contract manufacturing partners.Negotiate supplier agreements, pricing, and commercial terms.Develop sourcing strategies that support business growth, cost savings, and sustainability objectives.Packaging DevelopmentPartner with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new packaging solutions.Identify opportunities to improve packaging functionality, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.Support the commercialization and execution of packaging initiatives.Cost & Supplier ManagementDrive cost savings through competitive sourcing, negotiations, and spend analysis.Manage supplier performance across quality, delivery, and capacity metrics.Resolve supplier issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives.Cross-Functional CollaborationMaintain sourcing data, reporting, and supplier records within ERP systems.Collaborate with Operations, Planning, Product Development, and Logistics teams to support business objectives.Ensure a smooth transition from product development through ongoing production.The Successful ApplicantA successful Package Development and Sourcing Manager should have:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field.4-6 years of sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience within consumer packaged goods (CPG).Demonstrated experience managing sourcing activities for packaging materials and contract manufacturing.Strong negotiation skills with a proven record of delivering cost savings and supplier performance improvements.Experience developing cost models and conducting financial analyses.Strong understanding of supply chain processes, commodity markets, and supplier risk management.Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills.Experience within beauty, skincare, personal care, health and wellness, or related consumer products industries.Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite.Experience supporting packaging innovation and new product launches.Exposure to sustainability initiatives and packaging optimization projectsWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $135,000 annually.
