We have Contract role Ultrasound Technologist – OBGYN for client at State College PA. Please let me know if you or any of your friends would be interested in this position.
 
Position Details:
Ultrasound Technologist – OBGYN- State College PA
Location: 1800 East Park Avenue • State College PA 16801
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day - Monday - Friday
Guaranteed Hours: No Guarantee
Pay Rate: $57.58/hr
 
Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
Perform ultrasound procedures to assist in the diagnosis of medical conditions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.  
2. Completion of a specialized training program in Ultrasonic Technology or on-the-job training with a registered sonographer preferred.

Experience:

1. One year of experience performing ultrasound procedures in a hospital, clinic or physician’s office preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

1. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.  
2. Knowledge of physician office procedures, ICD-9 and CPT coding guidelines.  
3. Knowledge of ultrasound equipment and procedures, protocols and safety hazards common to administering ultrasounds including equipment, body mechanics and patient movement.  
4. Ability to recognize normal and pathological features.  
5. Ability to speak clearly and communicate effectively and to read, understand and follow written and verbal instructions and procedures.  
6. Ability to identify and troubleshoot equipment problems and perform simple adjustments.  
7. Skill in the production and communication of sonograms.

License/Certification/Registration:

1. Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification required upon hire/transfer.
2. Registered in OB/GYN with RDMS within 1 year of hire/transfer.
3. Meets the American Heart Association’s standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Receives general supervision from the Practice Manager.
