    Job Overview

    The P&C Commissioning Technician will perform acceptance testing and pre-commissioning of protection and control (P&C) equipment in the factory using procedures set-forth by Systems Control and its utility partners.

    A Day In The Life

    Every day at Hubbell is different and you'll contribute in many ways. On any given day, you'll make a difference by:

    Apply protective relay settings and perform testing that validates proper function

    Apply RTU settings and verify status, metering, and control functions

    Execute testing procedures that ensure elements of P&C design are properly applied and functioning as intended

    Troubleshoot and problem-solve when deficiencies are identified

    Perform testing procedures and document the results completely, in accordance with internal and customer-specific requirements

    Keep up-to-date with utility industry trends and practices by attending relevant training opportunities

    Notify designers and engineers of deficiencies identified during testing

    Identify potential process improvements and collaborate with other team members

    Provide technical support to engineering, manufacturing and test departments

    What will help you thrive in this role?

    Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (required)

    Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical/electronic testing and techniques of design (required)

    Strong attention to detail, problem solving, time management, and strong organizational and multi-tasking skills (required)

    Bachelor's Degree preferred

    Strong decision-making and leadership skills

    Knowledge of the principles of theory and general electronic component functions preferred

    Good oral and written communication skills

    Ability to work from procedures and drawings with minimal guidance

    Experience executing tests and documenting test results
