    The P-ALT Program Administrator provides strategic leadership and oversight for the new Education Service Center Region 2 (ESC Region 2) Preparation-Alternative (P-ALT) Teacher Certification Pathway. This position is responsible for the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of the P-ALT program in partnership with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and the Center for Transforming Alternative Preparation Pathways (CTAPP). The Administrator ensures program compliance with all grant requirements, supports candidate recruitment and success, oversees district partnerships, and leads efforts to establish a high-quality, sustainable alternative certification pathway designed to increase the educator workforce in South Texas.

    The P-ALT Program Administrator serves as the primary liaison among ESC Region 2 leadership, CTAPP, TEA, district partners, and program stakeholders

    Required Qualifications

    ? Master?s degree from an accredited institution in education, Education Leadership, or related field

    ? Valid Texas educator certification

    ? Minimum of five years of experience in education

    ? Experience leading educational initiatives or programs

    ? Strong project management and organizational skills

    ? Experience facilitating professional learning

    ? Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Experience

    1. Experience in educator preparation programs (preferred)

    2. Knowledge of TEA certification requirements and educator preparation program accountability systems (preferred)

    3. Experience managing grants and budgets

    4. Experience working with school district leaders and educational partners

    5. Experience in candidate coaching, mentoring, or instructional leadership
