Position Summary:

ofi values in-person collaboration with colleagues – this is a fully onsite position where employees are expected to work their specific work schedule onsite.   

 

Reporting to Sanitation Supervisor, the Sanitation Crew Lead II is responsible for the coordination of activities of workers engaged in duties concerned with sanitation programs in food processing establishment by performing the following duties.

 

The ideal candidate for the Sanitation Lead II role will have the ability to lead a team, overall leadership of the night shift including production and maintenance, while also completing other demands/ tasks will be required. They should be flexible and reliable.

 

What You’ll Do - Position Responsibilities:  

  • Inspects products and equipment for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws and plant standards. 
  • Support and mentor food handlers and production personnel in sanitary and pest-control procedures. 
  • Directs cleaning of equipment and work areas. 
  • Inspects premises for unsanitary practices and conditions. 
  • Confers with management and production personnel on sanitation problems, and recommends changes in equipment, plant layout, lighting, ventilation, or work practices to improve sanitation standards and purity of product. 
  • Compiles required reports regarding regular inspections, sanitation violations, and steps taken to resolve deficiencies. 
  • Routes reports to Sanitation supervisor and Production managers and/or designated plant personnel. 
  • Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. 
  • With the support from Sanitation supervisor and Production Manager interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations. 
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. 
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems. 
  • Maintains time and Sanitation records. 
  • Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of Sanitation crew. 
  • Performs activities of Sanitation crew. 
  • Collects post-sanitation EB and ATP swabs. 
  • Overall leader for plant operations for the night shift. 

 

Experience You’ll Bring – Role Requirements:

  • High school diploma is required. 
  • manufacturing is preferred. 
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  
  • Ability to lead all plant functions on the night shift and to be the plant point of contact for night shift. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, is required. 
  • Ability to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. 
  • regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
  • Bilingual, English and Spanish, is highly preferred. 
  • Knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. 
  • Needs to be trained and licensed to drive a Forklift.

The pay for this role is $26.92 per hour and is based on position responsibilities and geographic location. Actual pay within this range may be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or other determining factors.
