The Center ensures understanding and values differences in people of diverse cultures, ethnic origins, sexual orientation, disabilities and beliefs.Overview: Chrysalis House is a maternity group home for pregnant or parenting runaway and homeless young women ages 16 -21. Staff will utilize a strength-based, trauma-informed approach to working with youth. The program includes independent living skill building, case management and opportunities to strengthen permanent connections with their family and community. Aside for responding to emergencies during the night, overnight staff duties will include routinely engaging the residents in the evening as well as in the morning in order to ensure they are prepared for the day.Schedule: Full time, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday 10pm-8amResponsibilities:Perform client checks (health and safety) and curfew checks as neededSet house alarm system by designated time as neededProvide guidance and support with inter-personal issues as they arise between residentsMonitor resident's adherence to program rules and expectationsProvide participants with access to the house and their bedrooms in the event of lock-outsRespond to resident emergencies at Chrysalis House as indicated by program procedures and alert Agency On-Call Supervisor when appropriatePossess sound judgment, problem solving and decision-making skillsIs youth positive, friendly, engaging and can foster a sense of trustMaintain clear professional boundariesRequired Qualifications: Associates Degree in human services, education or related field and 1 year relevant experience OR Equivalent combination of experience and educationA valid Driver's licenseSkills: Strong communication and literacy skillsAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office & Internet ExplorerPay Rate: $20- $21 per hour The Center for Youth Provides Equal Employment Opportunities
