Overnight security officer job with Signal of Omaha, stationed at one assigned site in Omaha. Full-time and part-time shifts available. You'll work on your own, doing a foot patrol of the property every hour, watching for trespassers, vandals and thieves, and writing a report after each patrol.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule (overnight / night shift; weekends and overnights required)
- Weekend part-time shift: 11:00pm–7:00am
- Full-time shift: Thursday–Monday, 8:00pm–4:00am

Requirements
- 18 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Able to pass a background check and drug test
- Valid driver's license
- Working smartphone with data (used for reports)
- Your own vehicle or reliable transportation to get to work
- Available for weekends and overnights
- Able to work alone and carry out post orders without constant supervision, with integrity and a strong work ethic
- Strong observation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
What you'll do
- Maintain access control points and carry out hourly duties set by your Branch Supervisor and the site's post orders
- Watch the site for vagrants, potential thieves, vandals and trespassers, and deter them
- Do a full foot patrol of the premises every hour, keeping the patrol vehicle's lightbar on at all times during patrols
- Write a detailed report after each hourly patrol and submit it promptly
- Respond immediately to security breaches, confrontations or criminal activity, following established protocols
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols while on duty
- Regularly inspect and maintain the patrol vehicle, lightbar and other security equipment
