Full-time overnight mobile patrol security guard job with Signal of Salt Lake City. You'll drive a company patrol vehicle between client properties in your assigned area, checking each one for break-ins, loitering and suspicious activity, and responding to calls like lockouts, alarms and noise complaints.
This is an unarmed, non-physical security officer role: you will not carry weapons or lay hands on anyone.
Pay: Starting at $18.50/hr; $19.00/hr after you complete in-person and online training
Schedule (full-time, overnight / night shift)
- Shift rotation depends on your individual flexible schedule; shifts switch each month
- Shift hours: Monday–Tuesday 6:00pm–6:00am and Wednesday–Friday 6:00pm–5:00am
- Overnights are required
Location: Signal of Salt Lake City (JAK Enterprises, LLC), 6975 Union Park Ave, Midvale, UT 84047. In-person work
Requirements
- Valid Utah Guard Card (required)
- Valid driver's license (required)
- 18 or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Able to pass a background check and drug test
- Working smartphone with data (used for reports)
- Your own vehicle or reliable transportation to get to work
- Strong observation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
What you'll do
- Patrol your assigned area in a company vehicle, touring client properties and following each site's post orders
- Check for break-ins, loitering and suspicious activity
- Answer and respond to client and dispatch calls for lockouts, alarms and noise complaints
- Complete tasks assigned by clients or management
- Write digital reports on any issues
- Work independently with clients and the community, alongside the Patrol Manager and the rest of the team
