Job Summary:SCA is seeking a reliable and experienced Lead Parking Lot Operator to manage nightly route operations and operate an Air Sweeper Truck. This position is responsible for ensuring that all scheduled sweeping services are completed efficiently and to quality standards. The Lead Operator supports route execution, maintains safety procedures, and communicates effectively with team members to ensure a productive and well-coordinated shift. This role services a variety of customers, including new parking lots, municipalities, contractors, and road construction crews.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate an Air Sweeper Truck to clean parking lots and remove debris such as pavement fragments, millings, mud, and construction materialsConduct daily pre-trip inspections of the sweeper truckPerform minor mechanical and safety checks on the truck and equipmentWear proper PPE and enforce safety complianceReview route schedules and clarify any unclear instructions before the shift beginsDrive and operate the sweeper truck safely and efficiently through all assigned stopsComplete jobs within scheduled timeframes while maintaining qualityTrack completed tasks using company sweep validation proceduresExercise caution during inclement weather conditionsReport mechanical issues, near misses, or accidents to the Supervisor immediatelyRefuel the vehicle at the end of the shiftPerform additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant work experienceValid Chauffeur's License requiredCDL A or B with current Medical Card preferredMust pass pre-employment screening and complete a DOT Physical (company-paid if needed)Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditionsExposure to noise, vibration, grease, oil, and other job site hazardsPhysically demanding work:
Occasionally lift 50+ lbs., stoop, kneel, bend, push, pull, and reachFrequently walk, stand, drive, and operate machinery for extended periods
Good vision (close, distant, depth perception, and focus adjustment)Regular use of hands and arms to operate equipment and toolsUse of hearing, eye, and other safety gear required
