OVERNIGHT ARTISAN BREAD BAKER
Easy Tiger, one of Austin’s most beloved brands, is currently seeking an Overnight Artisan Bread Baker to join our wholesale bakery team!
REPORTS TO: Lead Baker
SALARY / GRADE LEVEL: Hourly / Non-ExemptSHIFT REQUIREMENTS: 4 x 10 hour shifts, 8:30pm - 6:30am
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
- Learning and honing the craft of baking from our skilled bakers
- Shaping & proofing a variety of unique breads
- Baking artisan breads using state of the art deck and convection ovens
- Mixing various doughs and starters while maintaining consistent quality and schedule
- Dipping and baking the best pretzels in town
- Assisting in packing duties
- Maintaining cleanliness
- Putting away deliveries
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Attention to detail, especially when performing quality inspections on ingredients and products
- Ability to read recipes and knowledge of math in weighing and mixing precise quantity of ingredients
- Previous bakery experience is a plus, but not required
- Passion for quality food & hospitality
- Team player with a friendly disposition towards a positive workplace
- Strong work ethic and reliable
- Current Texas Food Handlers certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work standing for 10+ hours
