Overhead Door Technician, Facilities

The ideal candidate has experience performing general, preventative and emergency maintenance of overhead doors. As well as strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, controls, plumbing and process systems operation and maintenance.

• Maintain, install, operate, diagnose, analyze and repair for Service doors, Fire rated doors, Fabric doors and Rubber doors
• Familiar with NFPA 80 & 480 volts
• Update CMMS with all work being planned
• Plan and execute other skilled mechanical or electrical services
• Make periodic inspections of all doors to include Monthly and Annual inspections
• Monitor and support subcontractors in performance of work
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance in an industrial/commercial environment
• Ability to consult manuals, read and interpret circuit diagrams
• Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite specifically Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Displays positive attitudes and practices good work ethics that reflects the mission, philosophy, and goals of the company

Essential Physcial Demands

• Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours a day, including over varied and uneven terrain
• Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs., including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
• Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach to install parts
• Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours a day
• Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures
• Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
• Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses, safety shoes, reflective vest, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
