Overhead Crane Systems Maintenance Technician

Location: Marietta, GA

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. (1st Shift)

Compensation: $30.00–$32.00 per hour

A day in the role

You start early on the plant floor, walking past heavy industrial lines to the overhead crane systems you’ll steward. You assess alarms, listen for irregular sounds, and review notes from the previous shift. When equipment isn’t performing, you trace the issue—electrical or mechanical—zero in on root cause, and plan the repair. You coordinate with engineering, communicate clearly with the customer, gather the right parts, and return the system to service. Before you wrap, you complete documented safety inspections in line with OSHA guidelines so every lift stays compliant.

What you’ll handle

• Diagnose electrical and mechanical problems on industrial equipment, with a primary focus on overhead crane systems in heavy manufacturing environments
• Determine needed parts and repair procedures; perform the repair and verify performance
• Interface with the customer and collaborate with our engineering department to resolve issues efficiently
• Conduct and document safety inspections per OSHA requirements
• Leverage PLC knowledge when applicable (PLC experience a plus)
