Overhead Crane Operator

Attach slings, chains, or clamps to loads, calculate weights to ensure they fall within the safe working limits, and guide loads to prevent swinging or collisions. The Overhead Crane Operator will be responsible for safely operating overhead cranes to lift, move, position, and load heavy materials and products along with other duties as assigned.

Our client is looking for an Overhead Crane Operator to join their team. Our client is a leading manufacturer of metal burial vaults.

The Overhead Crane Operator will be responsible for safely operating overhead cranes to lift, move, position, and load heavy materials and products along with other duties as assigned.



Responsibilities/Duties:
- Safely controlled hoisting equipment to lift, position, and move heavy materials, machinery, or structural products within a warehouse or industrial facility
- Manipulate levers, joysticks, or push-button pendants to control bridge, trolley, and hoist movement
- Attach slings, chains, or clamps to loads, calculate weights to ensure they fall within the safe working limits, and guide loads to prevent swinging or collisions
- Assist production line by assembling products
- Help keep the facility clean
- Load and unload trucks as needed
- Other duties may be assigned

Requirements/Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- 1+ years of overhead crane operation experience
- Ability to stand/walk for long shifts and regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Good hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness
- Basic math skills
- Ability to read measuring tools like tape measures or calipers
- Attention to detail
- Previous assembly experience preferred
