Outside Services Transportation Coordinator

In this role, you will be responsible for releasing approved parts for shipment to Outside Service Vendors, completing paperwork accurately, and following special instructions listed on the traveler. We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Outside Services Transportation Coordinator to join our Shipping team. In this role, you will be responsible for releasing approved parts for shipment to Outside Service Vendors, completing paperwork accurately, and following special instructions listed on the traveler.

Shift: 1st Shift, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay: $20–$25 per hour, based on experience

Responsibilities

• Release approved parts for shipment to Outside Service Vendors
• Communicate with McAlpin drivers regarding daily routes and shipping information
• Verify and accurately count parts staged for shipment
• Properly pack and secure parts according to traveler instructions
• Coordinate with Purchasing for purchase orders and shipping authorization
• Maintain an up-to-date Shipping Log for tracking parts
• Load and unload trucks
• Inspect incoming freight for damage
• Operate a forklift truck safely and efficiently
• Use Microsoft applications and shipping/ERP systems
• Follow all safety processes and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1–2 years of related experience or training preferred
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Background using ERP systems and shipping software preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft applications
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Skills and Abilities

• Basic computer knowledge preferred
• Ability to read and follow simple instructions, correspondence, and memos
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and internal departments
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions
• Ability to solve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

• Use hands to handle, feel, grasp, and twist
• Talk and hear
• Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
