Municipal fire and EMS. Primary fire accounts include Gary, Hammond, East Chicago, Hobart, Merrillville, Crown Point, Griffith, Munster, Highland, Valparaiso, Portage, Chesterton, Michigan City, and La Porte, plus large Lake and Porter township departments. La Porte County EMS operates a 12-ambulance ALS system separate from the fire departments. Porter County 911 ambulance is contracted to Northwest Health EMS with inHealth support; Valparaiso / Center Township fire-EMS is a separate shop. Most Lake County career cities run fire-based EMS and should not be double-counted as a second ambulance account.
Industrial targets (verified).
Newton, Jasper, Starke, Pulaski, and Benton are coverage counties (volunteer and combination departments, grain-bin rescue, foam).
