About the position: Our client, a nationally recognized manufacturer and distributor of premium kitchen ventilation and appliance products, is seeking an experienced
Outside Sales Representative to manage and grow a well-established Southern Region territory.
This position is ideal for a relationship-driven sales professional who enjoys developing new business while expanding existing dealer partnerships. The territory includes Houston (primary market with the largest concentration of existing accounts), Austin, San Antonio, and New Orleans, requiring regular in-person visits to dealers, distributors, builders, designers, and other industry partners.
The successful candidate will serve as the face of the organization throughout the region, driving sales growth through consultative selling, exceptional customer service, and strategic account management.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and grow an established territory through a combination of account management, business development, and dealer support.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing dealers while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
- Conduct regular in-person customer visits throughout the assigned territory, with Houston serving as the primary market.
- Present and promote new product lines, programs, and promotional opportunities.
- Increase revenue within existing accounts through cross-selling, upselling, and product recommendations.
- Develop accurate quotations and convert opportunities into purchase orders.
- Partner closely with Inside Sales and Customer Service teams to ensure timely order processing and customer satisfaction.
- Review open quotations and proactively follow up with customers to secure orders.
- Coordinate with internal teams regarding pricing, inventory availability, ship dates, and custom product requests.
- Assist with special orders, return authorizations (RAs), warranty issues, and customer concerns.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales activity, customer notes, and pipeline reporting.
- Monitor competitive activity and market trends while identifying opportunities for territory growth.
- Participate in trade shows, dealer events, builder functions, and industry networking opportunities as needed.
- Keep sales leadership informed of customer feedback, market intelligence, and territory developments.
- Recommend process improvements that enhance customer experience and overall sales performance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications- 5–8+ years of outside sales experience within the kitchen appliance, kitchen ventilation, cabinetry, plumbing, building products, or related residential construction industry.
- Proven ability to develop new business, while successfully managing an established account base.
- Experience selling through dealer, distributor, builder, showroom, or wholesale channels strongly preferred.
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
- Comfortable traveling throughout a multi-state territory.
- Experience working with ERP and/or CRM systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or degree preferred.
Preferred Experience- Kitchen ventilation or premium appliance industry experience.
- Residential construction, cabinetry, kitchen & bath, architectural products, or luxury home products.
- Experience supporting dealers, distributors, builders, designers, or kitchen showrooms.
- Consultative B2B outside sales background.
