Outside Sales Representative - Oahu

Principle Duties

• Creates, implements, and maintains sales call plan for existing, potential, "cold" customers.
• Coordinates marketing plan and product specials for accounts
• Provide price quotes and sales support.
• Inform customers of supply and price trends.
• Coordinates sales orders and deliveries. Makes deliveries to customer locations and job sites as required.
• Prepare records and reports of sales and supporting activities
• Maintains and builds positive customer relationships
• Fills customer orders including taking material from warehouse area and loading customer vehicles.
• Conducts regular safety and environmental inspections of facilities and job sites.
• Submits Requests For Information (RFI) when needed, and provides estimating support for change order requirements.
• Solicits subcontractor and material supplier quotes and reviews for selection process. Provides good faith effort as required for minority participation goals.
• Reviews subcontract agreements for alignment with quoted proposal (scope of work, quantities, and pricing).
• Assists with annual inventory count and periodic audits.
• Assists the AR Specialist with documentation and data gathering for collections and/or assists with collections on select jobs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Retains historical data on productivity/cost, activity processes and project issues as reference and guidelines to prepare estimates.

Skills/Knowledge:

Computer: Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Email; aptitude to learn in-house systems; keyboarding skills sufficient to complete daily tasks in a timely manner.

Office: 10 key, various office machines, general knowledge of office operations.

Math: Math skills to perform pricing calculations and generating reports as requested.

Reading: Must be able to read and understand business documents and basic construction plan sheets

Education: Degree in sales, marketing, business management, construction, civil engineering, general studies preferred. May substitute education with years of experience.

Experience: (1) year experience in a similar operation, sales/retail environment,

Licenses: Valid driver's license and favorable traffic abstract preferred.
