Outside Sales Representative- Join our Des Moines, IA Team!

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As an Outside Sales Representative for Total Tool, you will drive revenue growth by building lasting customer relationships and offering solutions through our full line of tools, equipment, and services. You'll represent Total Tool with professionalism and integrity, providing excellent service and tailored solutions to meet the needs of contractors and industrial clients. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage and grow an existing book of business while identifying and developing new customer relationships
  • Promote and sell products and services, including tool rental, rigging, and tool repair, with specialized knowledge of SHARP products
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure orders are processed, delivered, and invoiced accurately
  • Serve as the point of contact for your customers-solving problems, answering questions, and providing expert product knowledge, particularly with commercial jobsites and clients such as MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) contractors and General Contractors (GCs)
  • Proactively engage in cold calling to develop new business opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and their local representatives to support customer needs
  • Maintain accurate records of customer activity, pricing, and interactions through NEFCO systems and reporting tools
  • Maintain proficiency in NEFCO product catalogs, Eclipse, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Attend occasional training or trade events to stay informed on industry trends and new product offerings

PAY RANGE:

$65,000-$85,000 base salary, based on experience. PLUS, performance-based bonuses!

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Previously sales experience preferred
  • Experience in the construction and/or industrial supply industry preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of organization
  • An exceptional work ethic
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
