    Summary:

    Shepherd Controls is looking for a driven, technically savvy sales professional to join our team in Dallas-Fort Worth.

    We help manufacturers, OEMs, system integrators, and other industrial customers solve real-world challenges through automation. From robotics and motion control to pneumatics, sensing, controls, and complete automation solutions, our sales team represents leading technologies and works directly with customers to make their operations smarter, faster, and more productive.

    Industrial automation experience is highly preferred-but were also interested in high-potential salespeople and technical professionals who have the drive and aptitude to learn.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Build relationships with new and existing customers through regular face-to-face meetings.
    • Prospect and develop new accounts through targeted outreach, leads, networking, and referrals.
    • Understand customers operations and challenges, identify opportunities, and develop solutions using Shepherds broad automation portfolio.
    • Collaborate with our automation specialists, engineers, and supplier partners to deliver the right solution.
    • Present solutions that connect technical capabilities to real customer value and business outcomes.
    • Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline in Salesforce and drive opportunities from discovery through close.
    • Represent Shepherd Controls at customer events, trade shows, Lunch & Learns, and industry functions.

    Qualifications:

    Our ideal candidate has industrial automation experience, but were equally interested in high-potential people with the drive and technical aptitude to learn.

    Youll likely thrive in this role if you are:

    • Curious about how things work and comfortable learning technical products and applications.
    • Confident meeting customers, asking thoughtful questions, and uncovering needs.
    • Capable of tying features and benefits to real-world customer needs
    • Comfortable managing a territory with significant autonomy.
    • Coachable and committed to continuously improving as a salesperson.

    Valuable Experience:

    Any combination of the following is valuable:

    • Industrial automation, controls, robotics, or related technical experience.
    • Technical B2B or outside sales experience.
    • Experience working with OEMs, manufacturers, system integrators, or other industrial customers.
    • Engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, or applications experience.
    • Bachelors degree in engineering, business, or a related field-or equivalent experience.
