Community Impact helps local businesses grow and tell their stories through our trusted news platform. Our Media Account Executives are the experts who guide those businesses into the right products and campaign messaging. This isn't a role that can be done from your office chair; this is an outside, face-to-face sales position that demands someone who enjoys being in the professional community and driving results. Leveraging our proprietary CRM software, you will actively prospect new opportunities while retaining and growing existing accounts throughout your designated territory. By offering a comprehensive suite of newspaper, web, email, direct-mail, and storytelling products, you will partner with local business owners to share why marketing is needed for their business and how that marketing should be designed to deliver results.

ABOUT YOU

You'll know you're a great fit for the Outside Sales - Media Account Executive role if you:

• Have a true hunter mentality-you're energized by prospecting, cold calling, and the thrill of landing a new account, and you don't let rejection throw you off track
• Thrive in business-to-business (B2B) sales, from small mom-and-pop operations to large multi-location organizations
• Love making in-person connections and building relationships over time, becoming a true advisor to your clients
• Are relentless about building and growing a successful book of business, not just maintaining what exists
• Want to master our proven "Selling the CI Way" process and our in-house CRM tools
• Enjoy the creative side of selling as well, learning each business and being a connector between them and our design team to develop the messaging and images in their ads to make them "pop"
• Love the autonomy to strategically set your own schedule to optimize success, while having the flexibility to attend business and community events that occasionally take place outside of regular working hours
• Bring energy, enthusiasm and collaboration to a team that helps one another and celebrates each other's successes

Note: this role requires office hours in Jersey Village on Mondays and as needed for training. The rest of your week is spent in the field, prospecting and closing business in your assigned sales territory-one that you will build, grow, and defend!

$40,000 Base $70,000 - $100,000 OTE
