    We are seeking a results-driven Sales Mgr. for our Kansas City Branch to drive revenue and gross profit growth across the KS market while leading an outside sales team. This role is responsible for delivering an individual sales quota and ensuring the delivery of a small outside seller team quota. By developing customer relationships, driving new business acquisition, and partnering with internal teams to deliver value-based solutions across industrial distribution and related segments, the sales manager will deliver annual sales goals for the Kansas City budget.

    The ideal candidate is a strategic seller with a proven track record in B2B industrial or distribution sales, strong territory management skills, and the ability to engage confidently with technical and procurement stakeholders. Additionally, previous experience managing a team while delivering budgets or seeking a sales leadership role from an individual contributor.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Revenue Growth & Territory Management
    • Own and grow a defined regional territory with clear revenue and margin targets
    • Develop and execute account-level strategies to increase share of wallet
    • Drive new customer acquisition in priority verticals (industrial, chemical processing, water/wastewater, biopharma, and others)
    • Maintain an active, qualified pipeline using CRM tools to accurately forecast and document activity while driving the sales team to follow lead in managing their funnel to quota delivery
    1. Customer Relationship Development
    • Build and sustain long-term relationships with key decision-makers, engineers, and procurement teams
    • Conduct regular customer visits, business reviews, and solution presentations
    • Identify customer pain points and translate them into commercial opportunities
    • Respond to RFQs and lead proposal development with internal support teams
    1. Collaborative Selling
    • Partner with branch sellers and inside sales to maximize coverage and opportunity conversion
    • Collaborate with product specialists, operations, and estimating to develop winning proposals
    • Share market intelligence and competitive insights with leadership and marketing
    • Cross-Sell Solutions within the FCG network of sister companies
    1. Commercial & Strategic Leadership
    • Manage pricing, margin discipline, and contract negotiations within approved guidelines
    • Provide accurate sales forecasts and territory reporting
    • Contribute to regional go-to-market strategy and annual planning
    • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer entertainment within budget targets

    Required Qualifications

    • 10+ years of B2B industrial, distribution, or technical sales experience
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in a regional or territory sales role
    • Experience selling to engineers, plant managers, and procurement professionals
    • Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills
    • Previous experience in managing a team of outside sellers
    • Proficiency with CRM platforms and sales reporting tools
    • Willingness to travel 30-50% within the assigned region
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

    Preferred Experience

    • Background in industrial distribution, process piping, fluid handling, or related markets
    • Familiarity with chemical processing, water/wastewater, plating, biopharma, or microelectronics industries
    • Experience working in multi-branch or PE-backed sales organizations
    • Technical degree or equivalent industry experience

    • Achieve or exceed assigned regional revenue and margin targets within assigned accounts, markets and business objectives
    • Establish strong relationships across the existing customer base and onboard net-new accounts
    • Build a healthy, diversified pipeline across priority verticals
    • Develop a repeatable territory rhythm with branch teams and internal partners
    • Deliver accurate forecasting and consistent CRM hygiene
