    Responsible for promoting sales within defined territories, working with new and existing customers while providing high-quality customer service, growing existing and inactive accounts, and increasing line penetration with all assigned accounts.

    Essential Job Duties

    • Solicit and present products to sell to new and existing customers.
    • Be familiar with the business's product literature and convey product information and availability to customers.
    • Make sales presentations on new and existing accounts.
    • Assist in training and motivating the sales staff.
    • May coordinate the calls of the sales staff.
    • Ensure the integrity of the business's quality management systems.
    • Comply with established company policies and procedures.
    • Provide high-quality customer service.
    • Assume other duties as assigned.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    • Not responsible for supervising employees.

    Minimum Requirements

    Education & Experience

    • High School Diploma/GED.
    • 1+ years of experience in sales or distribution.
    • Must possess a valid driver's license to operate a company vehicle.

    Preferred Requirements

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
    • Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc.
    • Basic messages communicated orally. May write brief messages and keep simple records. May explain and offer guidance on routine procedures.
    • Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.
    • Decisions generally affect one's job or assigned functional area.
    • Results are defined and existing practices are used as guidelines for how to complete work activities; works closely with supervisor/manager who provides broad guidance and overall direction.
    • Prioritize assigned and routine tasks. Handle appropriately.

    Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to drive a vehicle most of the time.
    • Must be able to sit and drive for extended periods (up to 12 hours at a time); use hands to operate machinery.
    • May need to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, reach, climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended periods.
    • Frequent exposure to contaminants such as fuel or exhaust. May occasionally wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
    • May need to work in cramped spaces that could require getting into awkward positions.
    • May be exposed to extreme temperatures, extreme lighting, and high noise levels.
    • Daily travel will be required by drivers making deliveries and extensive overnight travel may be required
    • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
    • Some positions in this classification may involve operating a motor vehicle for work-related duties. Employees assigned driving responsibilities must meet all applicable eligibility and safety requirements.
