We are currently seeking an energetic, self-driven Account Manager (Field / Outside Sales) to drive growth throughout Reno, Nevada and the surrounding area. This role will promote and sell a broad range of industrial products and MRO solutions, with a significant focus on the mining industry. The ideal candidate enjoys being in the field, developing new business, solving customer problems, and building long-term relationships.

Essential Functions

• Develop and execute a territory sales plan to grow revenue, market share, and customer relationships across core and target accounts
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, with a strong focus on mining and industrial customers
• Make daily customer visits and sales calls to understand needs, identify opportunities, take orders, and promote products and solutions
• Build strong relationships with mine-level personnel, purchasing teams, maintenance teams, and other key decision-makers
• Recommend industrial products and solutions that improve customer productivity, safety, reliability, and efficiency
• Partner with branch managers, inside sales, and technical resources to maximize customer opportunities
• Promote new products, services, and value-added solutions to existing and prospective customers
• Monitor customer needs, market trends, and competitive activity to identify opportunities for growth

Experience, Education and Skills

• HS diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in business, marketing, sales or related is preferred
• 1+ years of industrial outside sales experience is required
• Mining industry sales experience is highly preferred
• Proven track record of sales growth and business development
• Experience selling hydraulic hose and fittings, industrial hose, safety products, gas detection, breathing apparatus, MRO, lubricants, filtration, electrical products, wire and cable, or communication products is preferred
• Strong prospecting, relationship-building, and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to effectively use CRM systems
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Willingness to travel throughout the territory; overnight travel may be required
