Job Overview: Outside Medical Sales Representatives
Location: Brooklyn & Queens, NY
Pay: $18–$21/hour, based on experience
Job Summary
We are seeking motivated Outside Medical Sales Representatives to build and maintain professional relationships with physicians, healthcare providers, referral coordinators, hospitals, and community organizations to promote our healthcare services, increase awareness, and support business growth.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with physicians, specialists, hospitals, and other referral sources.
- Promote Company healthcare services through face-to-face meetings, presentations, and educational discussions.
- Visit a minimum of 15 physician/healthcare offices daily within assigned territory.
- Represent the Company professionally at community events, networking opportunities, and healthcare functions.
- Accurately document all visits, meetings, and outreach activities in tracking systems and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Distribute and maintain adequate inventory of Company-approved marketing materials, brochures, and promotional items.
- Report market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity to management.
- Comply with HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and all applicable healthcare compliance requirements.
Experience
- Experience in outside sales, customer service, business development, hospitality, retail sales, or another customer-facing role (2+ years preferred).
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strong relationships with referral sources and healthcare providers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to conduct educational presentations and outreach.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and route daily schedules efficiently.
- Experience keeping accurate documentation, tracking outreach activities, and submitting regular performance reports.
- Ability to represent the company professionally at healthcare functions, community events, and networking opportunities.
- Strong organizational skills to manage and distribute marketing materials and brochures effectively.
- High ethical standards with familiarity or experience following HIPAA and healthcare compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of experience in sales, customer service, business development, hospitality, retail, or healthcare preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable personal vehicle with proof of insurance.
- Ability to travel extensively throughout assigned territory (Brooklyn or Queens) and lift up to 25 lbs of marketing materials.
