PRN Registered Nurse (RN) – Macon, GA

Position Summary

Seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to provide skilled nursing care to patients with bleeding disorders throughout Georgia. The ideal candidate has strong, recent IV and infusion experience and is comfortable working independently in home and community settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform peripheral IV insertions and access/de-access implanted ports.
• Administer clotting factor and other prescribed IV therapies.
• Manage PICCs, central lines, ports, and related dressing changes.
• Assess patients, monitor for reactions, and educate patients and caregivers.
• Coordinate care with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Complete accurate documentation and provide other physician-ordered nursing services.

Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or BSN accepted.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent direct patient care experience.
• Strong, current IV insertion and infusion therapy skills.
• Experience with ports, PICCs, and central line management.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to work independently and travel throughout Georgia.
• Reliable transportation, valid auto insurance, and strong clinical judgment.

Preferred: Experience in home infusion, hematology, oncology, critical care, emergency nursing, or vascular access.

Schedule & Additional Details

• PRN hours vary based on patient needs, typically 1–4 patients per week.
• Daytime availability Monday–Saturday; occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, or on-call coverage may be required.
• 1–2 days of in-office training.
• Laptop and phone provided.
• RN is paid $40 per hour when traveling to and from the patient's home. Quarter hour minimum and in 15 min increments thereafter
• Compensation varies based on services provided.
• Anticipated start: Early to mid-November.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 30 pounds, and transport nursing supplies as needed.
