Take the next step in your Physical Therapy career and make an impact in sports medicine. We are seeking an experienced Outpatient Therapy Rehab supervisor to support the operational management and patient care of our established sports rehabilitation practice.

You’ll work closely with sports medicine physicians and a highly skilled team to provide specialized orthopedic and sports rehabilitation. Located within the Riverside Wellness Center, you’ll have access to the full gym and state-of-the-art equipment for advanced testing, rehabilitation, and treatment, giving you the resources to help patients and athletes perform at their best.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in orthopedics and sports rehabilitation, along with the clinical expertise and leadership skills to support a high-performing practice. Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) certification is preferred.

The Outpatient Therapy Supervisor provides direct patient care as a Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapist as well as responsibility for the operational success of the assigned therapy clinic. Supervision of the day to day operations to include, but not limited to time keeping, team member engagement, education and training, integration with clinical and non-clinical RHS departments, patient satisfaction, functional outcomes, volume growth, marketing and analysis/action planning based on operational reports to ensure operational success of the therapy clinic. The Outpatient Therapy Supervisor reports to Rehab Services Director and supervises and provides administrative leadership of their assigned therapy clinic.

What you will do

• Provides administrative and clinical oversight and to their assigned clinic. Participates in oversight, training, and support of all team members, students, and volunteers. Conducts both department and 1:1 meetings with staff, supports success of staff/clinic by providing necessary resources. Responsible team member performance. evaluations in a timely manner.
• Provides direct patient care in area and scope of licensure. Evaluates and assesses the patient timely, based on principles outlined by practice guidelines, evidence based guidelines and regulatory standards (state & organizational policies, requirements of accrediting bodies, etc.). Carries out treatment plan to maximize therapeutic benefit. Documents patient records accordingly.
• Assists and supports productivity and growth of clinic. Ensures department schedule is efficient while maximizing timely access to care. Participates with Director of Outpatient Therapy on reviewing and action planning on operational reports to ensure clinic meets budget. Coordinates marketing and physician office education/integration in collaboration with Director of Outpatient Therapy and/or marketing team.
• Completes chart audits and educates/updates staff of findings, trends or corrections.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelors Degree, Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapy (Required) or
• Masters Degree, Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapy (Required) or
• Doctoral Degree, Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapy (Required)

Experience

• Healthcare leadership experience (Preferred)
• 1 year Practicing Clinician (Required)

Licenses and Certifications

• License Physical Therapy (PT) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire(Required) and
• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days(Required)
