What you'll do:

The Occupational Therapist Resource Clinician provides clinical guidance and development to staff and serves as a clinical resource to staff and collaborates with Clinical Coordinator and Director. Provides direct patient care, which may include evaluating patients, planning and modifying patient care, and conducting treatment. Consistently demonstrates support of Loyola's Statement of Mission and Philosophy and Trinity Core Values.

Practice Management - Assists Clinical Coordinator and Manager in the

development of competency-based criteria for clinical skills. Validates

staff competency related to clinical skills. Assists with operations in the

absence of the clinical coordinator and/or manager and functions as a

designate. Updates clinical protocols regularly to ensure most recent

technology. Participates in the development of special projects for the

department. Assist in referral development in conjunction with Manager

and Clinical Coordinator. Participates on committees/task forces/QI

Meetings, to represent the rehabilitation services department.

Program and Staff Development - Assists with clinical and ancillary

support personnel professional development activities. Coordinates,

schedules and oversees new employee orientation activities for clinical

skills, programs, and protocols. Oversees preceptors to ensure

consistency in orientation program. Assist Clinical Coordinator and

Manager with cross training of staff. Assist in coordinating and

scheduling staff participation in rounds, clinics, meetings, in services,

planning conferences. Provides input into staff performance appraisals.

Coaches, counsels and mentors staff on clinical and behavioral

performance standards and accountabilities related to patient care

activities. Assigns and delegate task and projects to staff based on skill

level. Provides guidance and follow up as needed. Co-treats with staff as

necessary for complex cases to ensure positive outcomes as well as for

staff development. Ensures ongoing education and assists staff in

developing personal goals and objectives. Participates in hiring new staff.

What you'll need for this job:

  • Masters Degree; Occupational Therapy

  • 3-5 years of job-related experience preferred

  • Basic Life Support (CPR)

  • Licensed/Registered as an Occupational Therapist

Compensation:

Pay Range: $34.48-$59.92 per hour
